Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2014
Magnificent gold and diamond junior hockey memento commemorates the Memorial Cup championship won by the 1972-73 Toronto Marlboros, a team that included Mark and Marty Howe, Bruce Boudreau, goalie Mike Palmateer, and Bob Dailey, of whom this ring belonged. The ring, (approx. 19 grams), features a spectacular diamond set in the tableau, encircled by "Memorial Cup Champions". The team's name, logo and "1973" are displayed in relief on one shank, while on the other is an image of the trophy emblematic of Canadian junior hockey supremacy. The interior of the size 10 band is stamped "10K" along with Dailey's name. Lovely detail on this fine keepsake, which shows a touch of wear on the images, along with some scratching and nicks. Comes with a faxed copy of the original LOA handwritten and signed by Dailey.
