Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2014
A fine high-level rookie card of Toronto Maple Leaf forward Ken Doraty, mentioned on the back as one of the smallest men to ever play hockey, weighing only 128 pounds. (But can score even among the big fellows!) Doraty's 1933-34 O-Pee-Chee #4 card has been slabbed by PSA as a nice NM 7, with only one other graded as high and none graded higher from the 37 examples PSA has examined over the years. Doraty scored an overtime goal in April of 1933 at 104.46 of overtime to give his Toronto team a 1-0 win over the Boston Bruins and which is the longest game in either team's history.
