Montreal-born Ernie Russell played center and rover and scored an astonishing league-high 43 goals in just nine ECAHA games in 1906-07. Ernie helped the Wanderers to four Stanley Cup titles, starring in a challenge match against Berlin in March of 1910, scoring four times in a 7-3 triumph. He was an all-round athlete, captaining the Montreal AAA team to the junior football championship of Canada in 1903. Thought-provoking image of Ernie here, with his #20 card having been graded EX-MT 6 by PSA, a POP-9 with none graded higher.
