Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2014
The most important/valuable card in the O-Pee-Chee company’s challenging 1936-37 set of 36 die-cut cards is that of the incomparable Howie Morenz, with the hockey immortal staring boldly into the camera lens on card #121. The section of the card which included a drawing of a mock hockey game and which was designed to be folded, allowing the card to stand upright, is no longer present here. With no paper loss or other major flaws and a problem-free back, the card includes edge/corner wear and a crease through Morenz’s chin area. A nifty addition to a Howie Morenz shrine it will be!
