Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2014
Always fun are old trading card display boxes, with the three in this nifty trio each having once housed 36 luscious 10-cent packs and led chronologically by a 1970-71 O-Pee-Chee Hockey 2nd Series box. An image of a Gordie Howe Deckle Edge insert is on the front edge, where tape once repaired a split corner. Tape is also present at two other corners, with the box top somewhat "pushed down". A '72-73 2nd Series box advertises a "Special Canadian All Star Card" (Team Canada insert) in each pack and like a '72 Canadian Football League OPC box, has a stain from the original box-sealing piece of scotch tape. A few creases in each, with two tears in the football box's front edge to mention, but overall, a swell chance to score three 40-plus year old OPC relics.
