Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2014
A couple of fine looking biscuits, complete with boxes, and if you’re going to be firing these around the river or pond you’ll need a nice pair of vintage strap-on skates to do it right. The pucks are circa-1950s/60s, with one being a “Federal” in great condition with just a touch of aging, while the original yellow, red and black box has some aging marks and both flaps off but still included. The Monarch puck seems in completely unused condition, although there is a possible faint outline of a label once being on it. The original Monarch box is in sensational condition with some scuffing and edge wear to mention. We also have a pair of vintage skates in this lot, dating back to circa 1920s/30s, with wooden foot rests and steel blades, with leather straps intact and retaining that nice non-hardened feel. The blades have some rust, and the wood is scuffed but clean and solid. Winter’s here. Time to lace them on!
