Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2014
From the days when the upstart World Hockey Association wanted to be "different" from the NHL come these red, white and blue prototype pucks manufactured at the American Biltrite factory in Sherbrooke, Quebec. As most know, blue pucks were indeed adopted by the WHA, albeit briefly, during its first season. Biltrite's "OFFICIAL – CANADA – OFFICIEL" appears on the side of the blue and white slugs here, with "MADE IN CANADA" in tiny raised letters on one of the flat surfaces of all three. Several small nicks/slices in the blue puck are to mention, with the other two nick and chip-free. Swell chance to score all three types with one shot/click!
