Great in-depth look at the IHL of the 1940s, '50s, and '60s through various postcards, pictures and photos, and which includes 37 JD McCarthy postcards of the Port Huron Flags; 16 Columbus Checkers 8" x 10 pictures from the 1967-68 campaign (with envelope); 9 IHL Toledo Mercurys late-1950s/early-1960s photos plus a cut program cover; 6 Milwaukee Clarks late-1940s 8" x 10" pics; and IHL/AHL Early-1950s Cincinnati Mohawks photos with 7 vintage-signed pictures by the likes of HOFers Buddy O'Connor (ind. 1988, dec. 1977) , Clint Smith (ind. 1991, dec. 2009), Emile Francis (ind. 1982), and others. These autographs have been signed using fine blue ballpoint pen with Emile Francis' being somewhat faded although still legible. Condition-wise shows this collection to have been preserved very nicely, with the McCarthy postcards, which measure 3” x 5”, showing no marks and nice edges. The 19 pictures of the 1967-68 Columbus Checkers measure 8 ¾” x 10 3/4” and are in nice condition with no tears or creases. The names of the players have been handwritten on the backs of the 8” x 10” late-‘50s/early-1960s photos, and aside from a touch of edge wear, remain in very nice condition. The 6 Milwaukee Clarks pictures from the late-1940s measure 8” x 10” and also have been preserved nicely with just a small amount of cormer creasing and some minor scratching. And the 23 early-1950s Cincinnati Mohawks photos measure 8” x 10” with the majority having their names handwritten on the back of each. The signatures have paled slightly, and along with the O’Connor, Smith, and Francis sigs, we see Frank Eddolls, Ken Barlow, Paul Masnick, and Paul Bibeault.
