Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2014

The Montreal Canadiens would edge the Chicago Black Hawks 4 games to the 3 in the 1971 Stanley Cup Finals, while in the 1973 Cup Finals the Habs would again go up against the Hawks, this time winning it in 6 games. We have 4 programs, 2 from each year, with the 1971 versions including an undated Chicago program from the Final series, in what we think is from game 5 on May 13, 1971 when the Hawks beat the Habs 2-0, while the other is the 22-page insert from the Montreal Forum on May 11th, 1971 when the Canadiens would defeat the Hawks 5-2. Both programs measure 8 ½” x 11”, with the Chicago program having 72 clean and unmarked pages and a small crease in one corner, and the Habs insert is also clean and unmarked but showing some age yellowing of the pages. From the 1973 Cup Finals we have a May 6th Chicago program from the night Montreal would blank the Hawks 4-0, while the Montreal program is from May 8, 1973 when the Hawks would come out on top, with the score being an amazing 8-7 affair. Both programs measure close to 8” x 11”, with the May 6th program from Chicago having the 4 Habs scorers marked on the inside scorecard in blue ink, along with a few other game stats. Some edge wear is to note, along with a dirt-stained cover and an unrecognizable signature in blue ink. The Forum program has been preserved in excellent condition, with both programs having complete and intact pages.
