Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2014

It was game 6 at the jammed-to-the-rafters Chicago Stadium on April 22, 1962, with the Toronto Leafs in the Windy City hoping to hoist what would ultimately become their first of 3 straight Stanley Cups after the Hawks, led by Bobby Hull, Stan Mikita, and Glenn Hall, had captured the big prize the year before. Toronto would win the Cup that night, edging the Hawks 2-1 in game 6, and we have the Chicago Stadium program from that historic event, measuring 6” x 9”, complete with all 28 pages intact, with only some pencil marks on the inside lineups showing goals, assists and PIM. A few faint marks and some creasing are on the front and back covers, but all in all, this important Cup-night program remains in very good condition. A tight, hard fought 2-1 Final game. Even the blasting of the old Stadium organ couldn’t cut through the tenseness in the air.
