Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2014
Longtime NHL star and HOFer (inducted 2012) Adam Oates, who at this writing is bench boss for the Washington Capitals, wore this Edmonton Oilers Third Set 1 jersey during the 2003-2004 season, which would be his last of 19 big-league seasons. Tagged in the collar as a size "54", this Third set blue gamer features the sprockets patches on the shoulders and show a "25th" patch on the breast. Marks are noticeable on the hem and on both sleeves, blue paint transfer is found on the hem as well, and on the left sleeve is a scattering of board burns and an unrepaired hole. This gamer comes with an LOA signed by representatives of the NHL and the MeiGray Group. Oates would tally an incredible 1420 points in 1337 regular-season games and another 156 points in 163 playoff games. Definitely Hall of Fame numbers.
