Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2014
On the night of January 18, 2009 at Rexall Place in Edmonton, former Oilers star and HOFer Glenn Anderson was honored by the club with his number 9 jersey raised to the rafters. In tribute to the former star, Oiler players that night wore Anderson's number 9 on the right breast of their jerseys, and such is the case here with winger Ales Hemsky's gamer, one that also comes complete with the team's embroidered "30th Anniversary" patch on the right shoulder. Tagged in the collar as an "Elite Sportswear" with a size "58" tag, this Reebok/Hemsky gamer, that was worn in the first two periods of the game against the Coyotes, shows light game-wear and comes with a MeiGray registry patch sewn on the inside hem that matches the LOA signed by representatives of the Oilers and the MeiGray Group as well as the Edmonton Oilers patch sewn-in the hem.
