Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2014
Sensational grouping of 4 original B&W Acme photos from 1935, all measuring 7” x 9” and all complete with typed Acme descriptions from the Dec. 17, 1935 game between the visiting Habs and the hometown NY Rangers playing in their 500th game. Some creasing can be found on a couple of these old treasures, but all in the all, the 4 remain in splendid condition with no tears or marks. The Rangers’ 500th game ended in a 1-1 tie with the Habs, and the typed wire description labels it as “an unexciting overtime 1-1 tie”. Four tremendous close-up action shots of 1930s hockey in the Big Apple, with the Acme stamp placed on the back of each.
