Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2014
Vintage and original brick salvaged from the now-demolished Chicago Stadium where the Chicago Black Hawks played from 1929 to 1994. Chicago Stadium also hosted the Chicago Bulls from 1967 to 1994 along with boxing, wrestling and many other forms of sport and entertainment. The grand old building bore witness to hundreds of NHL battles including the 1961 Stanley Cup finals and earlier titles in 1934 and 1938 and was known for the massive pipe organ and the roar of the crowds. Comes with a copied letter of provenance on Black Hawks letterhead signed by John Fett, Chicago Stadium Building Manager. Great cornerstone for your backyard project or sit it up on your shelf beside your Hawks memorabilia.
