Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2014
Hawks fans in the 1970s would have worn jackets such as this one as players from that era, from Bobby Hull and Stan Mikita to Tony O and Pat Stapleton, Doug Wilson, Keith Magnuson and the rest of the gang from that time lit up the old Chicago Stadium and had the wall-shaking pipe organ and the boisterous Hawks fans breaking eardrums. Tagged in the collar with a “DeLong Sportswear size Adult “L” patch along with washing instructions, this jacket is 100% nylon in both the shell and the lining, with a sensational old-style crest sewn on the breast featuring the embroidered Hawks logo and name. The right breast shows the embroiderd Hawks alternative “crossed tomahawks” logo. This great jacket, becoming more vintage by the minute, is in excellent condition with no marks, holes, or tears, with just a touch of paint removed from one of the snap-on buttons.
