Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2014
From venerable Chicago Stadium, "The Madhouse on Madison", site of big games, big goals, and big politicians, comes a fine pair of single red seats, now mounted on wood stands, with particles of red paint chipped away from age and countless backsides. One bolt is missing from a section of back support, the number tags are now gone, but this pair of seats remain in overall wonderful condition, ready to be sat upon and enjoyed in the friendly confines of your own home. Maybe if you close your eyes you'll hear that massive Barton pipe organ that once shook the walls of the building that first opened its doors in 1929 and closed in 1994. Simply wonderful mementos of the grand old Stadium, which was demolished in 1995 after the Blackhawks and Bulls moved to the new United Center.
