Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2014

It can get cold in the Windy City, and when it did for HOFer Doug Bentley (ind. 1964, dec. 1972) and his 1940s Black Hawk teammates, they would don their sharp-looking cardigan team sweaters and look like a million bucks. From the Bentley family comes Doug's Hawks wool button-up sweater with the huge chenille "C" sewn on the front, with "Doug Bentley" stitched and sewn into the inside hem. Tagged in the collar as "Logan 100% Pure Wool, Madison St. Chicago", this beige with black and red trim vintage team sweater measures approx. 25 1/2" from the top of the collar to the hem and surprisingly shows no holes and has all buttons intact, with a small scattering of marks in one area of the front to note, along with a nickle size area of red bleeding near the chenille crest. A vintage beauty, and comes with an LOA from Classic Auctions.
