Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2014
Rare and curious seat from the iconic Montreal Forum, and one which sets it apart from the general population of seats offered to the public after the historic building closed its doors to hockey in 1996. The Forum of the late-1960s had a small section of brown seats apart from the rest of the red, white and blue variety, and it's from those brown examples is one that was refurbished as a red seat in the style of the others. With its original wood back and metal seat base with new cushion attached, this freshly-painted Forum seat features new decals including #10 above "Guy Lafleur" with a small #10 banner to the left of the Flower's Cup-winning years. Bright and shiny and in perfect working order with sturdy aluminum-alloy footing. To note are faint images on the back panel which appear to be from bubble wrap.
