Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2014
June 8, 1996, and the Utah Grizzlies, coached by former NHL star Butch Goring, had just won the IHL Turner Cup by sweeping the Orlando Solar Bears 4 games to 0. Not long after, the team would be presented with not only championship rings but also nice 14K gold bracelets for their efforts. Measuring 8" in length, this bracelet, which belonged to coach Goring, features the Grizzlies logo along with the raised lettering "Grizzlies 1996 Turner Cup Champions", with the images of two Turner Cups made from real diamonds. The chain is made of 14K gold, as shown on the clasp as "Aurafin 14K Italy", while on the back of the plaque is stamped as "10K Dia. Cutters Intl.", and "June 8, 1996". This great gold and diamond bracelet shows some tiny nicks on the edges and some very slight scratching but remains in great condition.
