Deceased Hall of Fame Emile "Butch" Bouchard wore this awesome and beautiful "All-Stars" game-worn wool sweater during the 1950 NHL All-Star Game. Representing the Montreal Canadiens along with fellow defenceman Glen Harmon and Habs icon Maurice "Rocket" Richard, Butch made his third appearance on the All-Stars' blue line for the fourth edition of the ASG on October 8, 1950 at Detroit's Olympia against the reigning Stanley Cup champion Red Wings. The rich red, white and blue colors remain vibrant on this historic All-Star Game treasure, a wondrous wool creation with "McNiece's Sports Montreal" tagging sewn inside the right front hem. It features a fabulous red and cream NHL crest with "1950" across the bottom sewn on the front of the sweater. There are five sewn-on white felt stars arched across the chest above it and five more sewn-on stars arched across the back above the "6" in blue on white double felt, the number Butch wore for the 1950 ASG game because his customary #3 was worn by Toronto's Gus Mortson. There are three holes on the back of the left sleeve, another hole just below the right side of the NHL crest and a couple more tiny holes on the front, none of which diminish the display of this historic game-worn NHL All-Star Game sweater. Comes with Butch Bouchard's signed LOA.
