Bedrock on the Montreal Canadiens blue line, Emile "Butch" Bouchard won his second Stanley Cup in three years with the Habs in 1945-46. This magnificent handmade sterling silver ashtray was presented to the legendary defenceman to commemorate the Canadiens' sixth Stanley Cup win in the spring of 1946 following a four-game sweep of Chicago in the semis and a 4-1 series win over Boston in the final. "National Hockey League, Stanley Cup Winners, Season 1945-46, Club de Hockey Canadien Inc, Emile Bouchard" is engraved on the face of the handmade ashtray, which measures 4 3/4" in diameter around the edge with a maximum width of 6" measured across the cigarette holders. Two hallmarks surround the "Sterling" stamp on the reverse of this beautifully preserved keepsake which has acquired a wonderful patina. Comes with Butch Bouchard's signed LOA.
