Historic baseball treasure is this original Jackie Robinson 1946 newspaper file photo of the trailblazing Hall of Famer crossing home plate in his first Montreal Royals game. Jackie is pictured being greeted by Royals teammate Shotgun George Shuba after Robinson homered in the game that broke baseball's color barrier. The 9" x 7 1/2" print has photo editor's marks and notations on the front and back, which is date stamped April 19, 1946 and has the newsprint caption pasted to it. Included is a Montreal Royals replica hat, a Royals #9 jersey by Ebbets Field Flannels, a store model Robinson bat, an old D&R baseball glove and a Robinson tribute magazine. The original Robinson minor league debut photo is displayed within two glass panels mounted in a 12 3/4" x 10 3/4" wood frame;
The Royals cap with a white felt M sewn on the front has a size 7 1/8 flag tag;
Gorgeous cream wool Royals button front jersey with royal blue piping has Ebbets Field Flannels tagging and a size XXL flag tag in the neck with an asterisk written on it. Ebbets Field Flannels tags are included;
Louisville Slugger with Jackie Robinson facsimile autograph below Special engraved on the barrel has “JRS” and “2” etched on the knob. Some age cracking in the barrel which has various scuffs and scrapes;
Small brown leather glove has the Daignault Rolland Co. Ltd. tagging on the button-down strap across the bottom of the back of the hand.
