Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2013
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/18/2013
Jyrkki Lumme’s game-worn jersey is featured in this lot of three Finland 1991 Canada Cup jerseys. The longtime NHL defenseman was in his first few seasons with the Vancouver Canucks when he laced them up for his country prior to the 1991-92 season. Lumme contributed two assists in six games during the 1991 Canada Cup for Finland, which finished third in the round robin phase with a 2-1-2 record before losing its semi-final, 7-3, to the United States. Tackla size XXL flag tag sits in the back of Lumme’s #29 gamer, a white mesh affair with everything screened on, including the Canada Cup logo on the left breast, and the surname letters on the sewn-on nameplate. Big black marks on the right sleeve with more wear showing in other marks on the left sleeve and front tail, which has a long slash mark. A #11 white jersey with no nameplate is also a size XXL, while goalie Jukka Tammi’s #1 blue mesh affair with “Tammi” screened in white on its sewn-on nameplate is a size XXXL with no discernible wear.
