Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2013
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/18/2013
Awesome Team Canada international hockey treasure is this team-signed stick autographed by 11 members of the Toronto National Sea Fleas, who represented their country at the 1933 world ice hockey championships as reigning Allan Cup champions. Some members of the team quit when Harold Ballard took over coaching duties after Harry Watson chose not to return after guiding Toronto to the 1932 Allan Cup. The late Ballard, who was inducted into the HOF as a builder in 1977, has signed on the shaft with the notation “Canadian Hockey Team 1933”. Chisholm, Collins, Hern, Kane, McIntyre, Nugent, McAlpine and Kerr are among the others who have signed this one-piece stick with vintage black tape on the knob and CCM Monogram etched on one side of its chipped and cracked blade.
