Sensational 1984 Olympic bronze medal for hockey was presented to Sweden's Tommy Jan Morth. The 5-foot-10, 192-pound forward represented his country frequently during international competition, from juniors in 1976 through world championships and on to his only Olympic appearance in Sarajevo. Morth, who played his entire pro career in Sweden, contributed one goal and two assists in six games during the 1984 tournament as the Swedes claimed their second straight Olympic bronze with a 2-0 win over Canada in their last game of the final round. This amazing Olympic bronze medal presented to Tommy Jan Morth comes complete with its original ribbon in its presentation box, as well as with his Olympic diploma. The Sarajevo 1984 stylized snowflake logo and the Olympic rings are displayed within a circle on the face of the bronze medal, surrounded by the words "XIV ZIMSKE OLIMPIJSKE IGRE" above and "SARAJEVO" below. The reverse displays the stylized head of an athlete, crowned with a laurel wreath. Struck at the Majdanpek mint in Belgrade, it includes a small "M" mark on the front and is identified with "ICE HOCKEY" on the back. Resting in its blue plush bed, this 1984 Olympic bronze medal has acquired a nice vintage patina and there are a few light scratches visible on the area surrounding the circular section. The ribbon has become crumpled over the years and there are a few pin holes in it. Morth's bronze medal diploma is signed by by late IOC President Juan Antonio Samaranch in black marker.
