Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2013

HOFer and three-time Stanley Cup champion Joe Mullen has signed his mid-1990s Canadien game-used stick. A member of the 500-goal club, the American right wing scored 51 goals in 1988-89 on his way to his first Cup with the Calgary Flames. He claimed back-to-back titles with the Pittsburgh Penguins in the early 1990s and finished his career with 502 goals and 561 assists for 1,063 points in 1,062 regular season games. Mullen’s marker signature on the front of the heel is a bit light over the fiberglass portion. “Mullen” is stamped on the shaft below Joe’s original tape job on the knob. Half of his tape job on the blade was removed towards the heel. The blade has a couple of horizontal cracks on the front towards the heel that do not diminish the stick’s displays and there is good game use throughout including paint chips all along the shaft.
