Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2013

All-Star left wing Kevin Stevens lit up NHL goalies for the two-time Stanley Cup champion Pittsburgh Penguins in the early-1990s. Stevens led all playoff goal scorers in 1991 with 17 as the Penguins claimed their first of consecutive titles with a six-game win over the Minnesota North Stars. He scored 54 goals and 69 assists for 123 points in 1991-92 and added 13 playoff goals as Pittsburgh defended its title with a four-game sweep of Chicago. “Stevens” is stamped on the shaft of Kevin’s signed Penguins Koho Revolution game-used stick. Kevin’s original tape job remains on the knob while his tape top was removed from the now-bare blade where the three time All-Star placed a big bold black marker autograph across the front. Solid and crack-free signed gamer displays some nice game use including red paint transfer on the heel and blue paint transfer low on the shaft. Please note this lot was changed from the one referred to in the catalogue.
