Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2013
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/18/2013
The Montreal Canadiens have always had great two-way players down the middle and two of the best were legendary centers Jacques Lemaire and Guy Carbonneau, whose game-used sticks are offered here. “J Lemaire” is stamped on the shaft of Jacques’ Victoriaville gamer, which has his well-worn and distinctive tape job on the knob. Part of Lemaire’s white tape job on the blade has been removed towards the heel and the two tape bands around the shaft are no longer present. Solid and crack-free Lemaire gamer. Carbonneau has signed his Chimo GLM 999 gamer twice in bold black marker, on the side of the shaft, and again across of the now-bare blade which had its original tape job removed for Guy’s autograph. Carbo’s original tape job remains on the knob and partially covers the beginning of the “Carbonneau 21” stamp. Solid and crack-free game-used stick with tape remnants on the smooth bottom edge of the blade and game wear in the form of black marks on the shaft.
