A signed Brendan Shanahan goal puck and a Rangers game-used puck autographed by Henrik Lundqvist are featured in this lot of four signed pucks that also includes a pair of Minnesota Wild goal pucks autographed by Devin Setoguchi and Brett Bulmer, respectively. Shanahan’s Red Wings goal puck was an overtime game-winner scored on Dominik Hasek in a 5-4 win over Buffalo early in the 2000-01 season. It comes with a Hockeytown Authentics hologram sticker and the three other pucks comes with LOAs.
Shanahan’s goal puck has a wide band of yellowed white hockey tape with the following handwritten black ballpoint notation: “Detroit-Buffalo, October 21, 2000, Detroit 5th goal, scored 14 Shanahan, Assist 5 Lidstrom, 15 Verbeek, 4:27 OT”. Brendan has signed in black marker across the Red Wings logo on the face. A Hockeytown Authentics hologram sticker is affixed to the top edge.
Lundqvist has signed in bold silver paint pen along with the handwritten notation “Beat PIT” on the face of a Rangers NHL 2010-11 official game puck. Black marker notation reads “NYR vs PIT 2/13/11 7pm Game Used 3rd Per” on white tape wrapped all around the edge. The NHL crest reverse has a pair of Steiner hologram stickers affixed to it, including one that has a registry number that corresponds to the one on the Steiner LOA that indicates that the puck was used in the third period of the Rangers’ game against Pittsburgh on February 23, 2011, a 5-3 win for the Blueshirts. A Steiner COA plastic card is enclosed for Lundqvist’s signature.
Setoguchi and Bullmer have signed their pucks in silver paint pen. Setoguchi’s goal puck is from Minnesota’s first goal of the game, a power-play tally 9:06 into the second period, in a 5-2 win over Dallas on January 21, 2012. Bullmer’s goal puck is from a September 27, 2011 preseason game against St. Louis. The date and time of each goal is indicated on the respective Minnesota Wild COAs that accompany this pair of autographed pucks.
