Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2013
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/18/2013
Fantastic CCM game-worn skates belonged to longtime Calgary Flames captain Jarome Iginla. A two-time Olympic gold medal winner with Canada in 2002 and 2010, Iggy became the 42nd member of the NHL’s 500-goal club on January 7, 2012, when he beat Minnesota’s Niklas Backstrom for his milestone tally. These CCM Custom Fit skates display really nice game wear in the form of various marks and scuffs on the boots and on the white plastic Tuuk blade holders. Stickers on the white plastic undersoles of both boots display Iginla’s surname and size 9 with a separated decal with his number 12, which will surely one day be retired by the Flames. All laced up with the original insoles removed, a fantastic display pair worn by one of the most lethal power forwards of the 2000s.
