Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2013

All-Star defenseman Ed Jovanovski signed his 2003-04 Vancouver Canucks game-worn vintage helmet. Chosen first overall by Florida in the 1994 draft, Ed helped lead the Panthers to the Stanley Cup final two years later before moving on to Vancouver, where he anchored the defense with Mattias Ohlund on a powerful Canucks team that boasted the offensive talents of Markus Naslund, Brendan Morrison, Todd Bertuzzi and Henrik and Daniel Sedin. Jovo placed a big black marker signature on the top of his royal blue CCM game-worn helmet with retro Canucks logo decals on both sides. The autograph has some smudging but remains clearly legible. Ed’s number 55 decal sits on the back along with the old-style silver NHL shield. Jovanovski wore this helmet for three games when the Canucks wore their vintage-style retro uniforms with the hockey rink logo: on November 25, 2003 against Montreal, on December 27 against Edmonton, and again on February 28, 2004 against St. Louis. Game wear shows in scratches, scuffs and marks. Comes with a Canucks COA signed by president and GM Brian Burke.
