Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2013
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/18/2013
Both of these purple polyester-knit snap-up garments feature a Cleveland Crusaders patch on the left chest. Each sleeve bears a white-black-white accent from shoulder to cuff. A frayed Butwin manufacturing main label flap tag appears on the inside of each folded collar. Attached flap tags designate size, one XL, the other L. The size XL jacket has an interior left sideseam flap tag stating laundry instructions and the number "27" on the right chest in white tackle twill. The size L has the number "19" on the right chest sewn on in white tackle twill. Both jackets show moderate wear with pilling on the fronts. These jackets were usually worn in practices and skate arounds. The Cleveland Crusaders only operated as a team and part of the World Hockey Association from 1972 to 1976 and were then displaced when the California NHL team moved to Cleveland. With LOA.
