One of the best team nicknames in minor league sports, the Wheeling Nailers of the East Coast Hockey League are featured in this lot of two game-worn jerseys. Defenseman Andrew Orpik’s 2010-11 Nailers alternate captain’s gamer has SP tagging and Flo-Knit and Size 56 flag tags in the back of the neck. A Pittsburgh Penguins logo patch is sewn on the right shoulder, with a sponsor’s patch above it, and a Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins patch is sewn on the left shoulder. There are sponsor’s patches sewn on each breast and a Wheeling Casino patch on the rear tail. Game wear includes board burns and unrepaired burn holes on the sleeves, and black marks on the front which displays an awesome sewn-on team crest. Sean Collins’ mid-2000s Nailers gamer has SP tagging and a size 54 flag tag in the neck. A Pittsburgh Penguins logo patch is sewn on the right shoulder, with a U.S. Army patch above it. There are also sponsors’ patches on the left shoulder, both breasts, and a big one on the rear tail. There are black marks on the Nailers crest sewn on the front and more game wear shows in black marks and board burns on the sleeves.
