Veteran center Tim Tookey had all of his 106 NHL games under his belt when he wore this signed Team USA game-worn captain’s jersey at the 1995 AHL All-Star Game in Providence. Tookey had 22 goals and 36 assists for a total of 58 points over parts of seven NHL campaigns with Washington, Quebec, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia and Los Angeles from 1980-89. He enjoyed one of the most productive careers in AHL history with 974 points, including 353 goals and 621 assists, in 824 games from 1980-95, when he would up his career with the host Providence Bruins. The 1995 Dodge AHL All-Star Classic saw Team Canada claim a 6-4 win over Tookey’s Team USA at the Providence Civic Center. The captain’s C is sewn on the left breast of this distinctive AHL All-Star gamer with Maska and size 52 flag tags in the neck. Double twill stars are sewn on both shoulders and the blue stars on the front and rear tails have sewn-on red twill outlines, with a huge AHL crest sewn on the front left tail. Tookey’s surname is spelled out in sewn-on blue twill letters on a nameplate which has a small stain at the top that is possibly dried blood, with another small spot on the upper white stripe on the left sleeve, and a couple of marks on the right front tail. Tookey has signed with his number 9 in black marker inside the rear tail, which is screened with the Custom Crafted “Official American Hockey League All-Star Game January 17, 1995” stamp with number “1” written in white paint pen in the blue box to the right. A fantastic AHL All-Star gamer!
