Forward Bates Battaglia wore this 2003-04 Capitals gamer some 10 years before he teamed up with his brother Anthony to win TV’s Amazing Race. Acquired from Colorado in an early season trade, Battaglia had four goals and six assists for 10 points in 66 games with the Capitals in his only season in Washington. Black Capitals home gamer has size 58 flag tag in the back of the neck. A Washington Capitals 2003-04 Set #2 Cutting Edge Sports team patch is sewn inside the right rear hem and a MeiGray NHL Game-Worn Jersey 2003-2004 Season registry patch is sewn inside the left rear hem. There is a 3-inch-long team repair below the “3” on the right sleeve, a web of team repairs on the front left shoulder seam, and another sewing fix on the left front tail near the side seam. More game wear includes faint black marks on the left sleeve, board burns on the left front tail and right shoulder, and black marks on the left front tail, the “3” sewn on the left sleeve in copper, light blue and white triple twill and on the left side of the team crest on the front. Comes with a MeiGray Group LOA which states it is a black 2nd regular season jersey.
