The late Karel Rachunek wore this Ottawa Senators alternate gamer during the 2002-03 season. Rachunek had four goals and 25 assists for 29 points in 58 games with the Senators after beginning the season with Lokomotiv Yaroslavl of the Russian Superleague while he came to contract terms with Ottawa. Rachunek, who was the captain of the ill-fated 2011-12 Lokomotiv team, died in the September 7, 2011 plane crash that killed all members of the KHL team. The MeiGray LOA that accompanies the Czech defenseman’s Senators gamer states that the jersey is from Ottawa’s second season set of their third jerseys. A size 58 flag tag sits in the back of the neck and the MeiGray NHL Game-Worn Jersey patch sewn inside the rear tail has a registry number that corresponds to the one on the LOA. Game wear includes a mark on the team crest on the front, black marks on the right sleeve cuff, marks on the numbers on the sleeves, board burns on the sleeves, and a red thread pull on the back of the right sleeve.
