Hard-to-come-by Dallas alternate gamer from the mid-2000s is this Stars third jersey worn by right wing Mathias Tjarnqvist during his 2003-04 rookie campaign. The 24-year-old Swede had two points in 18 games with the Stars in his debut as Dallas introduced its latest uniform as part of the NHL Third Jersey program. The short-lived style was derisively dubbed the “Mooterus” because the new constellation logo on the front inadvertently resembled the female reproductive system. A doozy along the likes of L.A.’s Burger King, the Mighty Ducks’ Wild Wing and the Islanders’ Fisherman jerseys. Size 56 flag tag sits in the back of the neck and the MeiGray NHL Game-Worn Jersey 2003-2004 Season registry patch is sewn inside the right rear tail. Best of obviously limited game use is a mark through the bottom of the number “3” on the back and light but obvious board burns on the left shoulder and both sleeves. Comes with a MeiGray Group LOA which states it is a third set 1 regular season jersey.
