Veteran defenseman Don Sweeney wore this 2003-04 Stars game-worn jersey with a team repair on the back of the right sleeve in his 17th and final NHL season after he left Boston to sign with Dallas as a free agent. Sweeney, who had spent his first 16 seasons with the Bruins, had 11 assists in 63 games with the Stars during the regular season and appeared in all five games of Dallas’ first-round playoff series loss to Colorado. Size 56 flag tag sits in the back of the neck and a MeiGray NHL Game-Worn Jersey 2003-2004 Season registry patch is sewn inside the rear tail. There are board burns on the sleeves and left rear tail with more game wear showing in black marks on and around the numbers on the sleeves, on the left upper front and left upper back, as well as in unrepaired burn holes high on the front of the left sleeve. Comes with a MeiGray Group LOA which states it is a white 3rd regular season jersey.
