Troubled forward Mike Danton wore this 2003-04 Blues gamer during his only season in St. Louis. Danton had 141 penalty minutes to go along with seven goals and five assists for 12 points in 68 games during the regular season in his first and only season with the Blues. He recorded one goal in five playoff games with St. Louis and was arrested two days after the Blues were eliminated from the first round by San Jose. Charged with conspiracy to commit murder, he ultimately pled guilty and was sentenced to 90 months in prison. This Danton Blues jersey was referred to in error in the catalogue as a Colorado Avalanche game-worn jersey. Danton played 19 games over parts of two seasons with the New Jersey Devils before he was acquired by St. Louis in a June 21, 2003 trade. His 2003-04 Blues game-worn jersey has a size 54 flag tag in the neck and a MeiGray NHL Game-Worn Jersey 2003-2004 Season registry patch sewn inside the rear tail. There is a solid board burn with an unrepaired hole on the dark blue portion of the lower sleeve just below the yellow band. Another board burn on the right sleeve to the left of the numbers has blue paint transfer. There is another spot of blue paint transfer on the left front tail which exhibits pilling on its blue and yellow bands. Solid slash mark through the bottom of the Bluenote crest sewn on the front and a few black marks on the sleeves.
