Swedish defenseman Johnny Oduya went on to become one of the last members of the Atlanta Thrashers after he was traded by New Jersey in the February 4, 2010 deal that sent Russian superstar Ilya Kovalchuk to the Devils. Oduya wore this 2009-10 Thrashers road gamer with a size 56 flag tag in the neck from the team’s second set of white jerseys while contributing nine points in 27 games in his Thrashers debut. He played all 82 games the following season, the franchise’s swan song in Atlanta, and moved on to Winnipeg for the re-christened and revived Jets’ re-birth in 2011-12. The MeiGray NHL Game-Worn Jersey 2009-2010 Season patch sewn inside the left rear tail has a registry number that corresponds to the one on the Thrashers/MeiGray LOA signed by Atlanta GM Don Waddell that accompanies this jersey. Solid game wear includes board burns with an unrepaired burn hole on the front of the left shoulder, black marks on the right front tail, a big black mark to the right of the upper right corner of the nameplate, a mark on the white portion of the right elbow, and board burns and an unrepaired hole on the left sleeve, which also has a few light marks.
