Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2013
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/18/2013
Gr8 combination of Alexander Ovechkin's game-used gear features the game-worn skates he used to put himself in scoring position and the game-used stick he wielded to put the biscuit in the basket. The Washington Capitals superstar's distinctive yellow laces remain in place on both of his CCM skates which display nice game wear in the form of scuffs and marks. Alex has signed in black marker on the outside heel edge of both white plastic Tuuk blade supports. There is a Capitals hologram sticker applied to the bottom of the left skate, as well as on Alex's CCM solid and crack-free game-used stick which has "Ovi 8" factory graphics on the shaft and retains his original tape jobs on the knob and blade. Ovi’s game-worn skates feature the stylized logo with his number 8 front and centre on the top of the tongue, as well as on the heel of both boots, which have "OVI" spelled out around them. Ovechkin skate size and number "8" stickers are on the bottom of both boots, which have Tuuk Lightspeed2 blades attached. The names of Alex's brothers, Sergey and Misha, appear on the back of the heel of both skates.
