Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2013

A couple of solid photo matches here on Alex Ovechkin's 2009-10 Capitals game-worn jersey, one of Ovi's last gamers with the alternate captain's A on the left breast. Alex the Gr8 was named captain on January 5, 2010 and he went on to score 50 goals and 109 points. The big red board burn on and to the left of the Caps' secondary logo on the right shoulder shows in a photo of Ovi wearing this road gamer in Uniondale, N.Y. on October 24, 2009, which also shows the distinct pattern of black marks lower down the right sleeve. Size 58 flag tag sits in the back of the neck. There is a bit of blue paint transfer below the logo with an unrepaired burn hole below that, and more game wear shows in board burns on the sleeves. MeiGray NHL Game-Worn Jersey 2009-2010 patch sewn inside the left rear tail has a registry number that appears on the accompanying Capitals/MeiGray LOA, which indicates that Ovechkin's gamer is from the team's White Set 1.
