The highly coveted "Blue Penguins" style is up for grabs here with Rod Schutt's 1979-80 Pittsburgh Penguins game-worn jersey. Schutt's mesh gamer with a light blue stretchy knit waist has Stall & Dean tagging in the neck with a laundry instruction tag and size 52 and year "9" flag tags below it. Skating Penguin crest on the front and numbers on the back and both sleeves are rubberized. Game wear shows in nice inner pilling, black marks on the front and a light brown stain on the upper left back. Comes with a Classic Auctions LOA. This short-lived style was worn by Pittsburgh for only a couple of seasons before the Pens changed their color scheme to black and gold in line with the rest of the Steel City’s sports teams. White home jersey has a removed nameplate that is very hard to see, if noticeable at all. Some loose light blue threads where stitching has broken along the bottom of the right cuff.
