Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2013
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/18/2013
Hard-nosed forward Kevin McClelland was wearing this video-matched 1983-84 Edmonton Oilers game-worn jersey when he scored the only goal of the first game of the 1984 Stanley Cup finals to help launch a dynasty for the City of Champions. McClelland wore this road gamer throughout the regular season and playoffs, including the Oilers' five-game win that ended the Islanders' four-year reign as Cup champs. Originally from the collection of former Oilers owner Peter Pocklington, McClelland's blue mesh Nike game-worn jersey is matched to the team repair on the left side of the collar where you see blue fabric showing through. Great game wear includes stick and slash marks, board burns, paint transfer, unrepaired burn holes, washed-out bloodstains, heavy inner pilling and a handful of team repairs. Comes with and Oilers LOA and MeiGray certificate of registration plus an additional LOA.
