Baseball Hall-of-Famers who began their illustrious careers in the 1970s star in this mostly-encapsulated, all-Topps collection, led off chronologically by Carlton Fisk’s 1972 RC, graded EX-MT 6 by PSA. Mike Schmidt’s debut card from the following year sits in a SGC holder labeled EX+ 5.5, while a ’74 Dave Winfield rookie is a SGC EX/NM 6. Gary Carter joins three others on his ’75 RC, slabbed NM-MT 8 by PSA. Mini versions from ’75 include Robin Yount, (SGC NM/MT+ 8.5) and George Brett (PSA NM 7), with Eddie Murray’s ’78 Topps example graded NM 7 by SGC. Also from ’78 are a pair of PSA-graded Paul Molitor/Alan Trammell rookies; one is MINT 9 (OC), with the other at NM-MT 8. Thrown onto the encapsulated pile are a raw ’72 Fisk RC (VG-EX) and a ’78 Lou Whitaker rookie (EX).
