Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2013
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/18/2013
Sure to garner interest are these miraculously-preserved complete empty boxes of Lipton Soup from the season that hockey-loving but not necessarily soup-loving youngsters promised Mom they'd eat soup! Flattened-out boxes include 35-cent price stickers or 37-cent stamped prices, with two cards the prize on each box. All 51 cards, (there are two Borje Salming variations) are included with superstars Orr, Dryden and Clarke among the duplicates - nice! Bobby appears with Sittler on one and Vachon on another, while Ken's "partners" are MacLeish and Clarke, the latter also on a box with Tallon. Also dupes of HOFers Cournoyer, Lapointe, (they appear together once), Lemaire, Keon and Sittler. We spot a light bend/crease in about 20 of the boxes, near the top, but some mighty cool opportunities with these seldom-seen collectibles.
