Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2013
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/18/2013
A hockey “Babe” arrived in New York in 1932-33 from the Maroons, with Babe Siebert helping the Rangers to the Stanley Cup before appearing on this rookie card the following season, although in December of ’33 he was traded on to Boston. A scoring star early in his career, Siebert was later a three-time NHL First All-Star Team selection as a defenceman with the Canadiens, winning MVP honors and the Hart Trophy in ’36-37. This fetching Canadian Chewing Gum RC of Babe is slabbed VG 3 by PSA and awaits your encapsulated pre-war shrine.
