Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2013
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/18/2013
From Imperial Tobacco's original hockey card set comes this original Montreal Canadien, Ed Decarie, or, as identified on the front of card #13, Ed Decary. Hailing from Hawksbury, Ontario, Ed is reported to have signed with the Canadiens on December 15th, 1909, eleven days after John Ambrose O'Brien gave Jack Laviolette the task of assembling the first Canadiens team. Statistics show Ed scored five goals during Montreal's first year, a 2-win, 10-loss season. Stats at PSA meanwhile show this Decary, a Pop-3 EX+ 5.5 example, edged by just nine of 70 other similar cards. Another dandy C56 specimen!
