Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2013
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/18/2013
The Golden Jet and the Golden Brett, one of the Hockey Hall of Fame’s very few father and son tandems. Brett Hull was inducted into the HOF in 2009, some 26 years after his father, Black Hawks legend Bobby Hull, was inducted in 1983. Offered are three signed frames including one of Brett hoisting the Stanley Cup over his head with Detroit in 2002. Brett placed a big bold blue marker autograph at the bottom of the 10x8 shot with two hologram stickers which is displayed with a Red Wings pin and a plaque in a black and red double matte with white accents. Mounted in a 22 1/4" x 18 1/4" black wood frame with a COA on the back. A classic photo of Bobby Hull bloodied in his Black Hawks uniform after a bout with Montreal’s John Ferguson is signed by the Golden Jet. The black marker autograph is faded though it remains clearly legible. The 8x10 signed print is displayed along with a Black Hawks pin and a plaque in a gray and red double matte with white accents in an 18 1/4" x 14 1/4" gold-colored metal frame. The third framed display features a dual-signed action 8x10 photo autographed by both Bobby and HOF Maple Leafs goalie Johnny Bower in bold blue marker. The 18 1/4” x 22 1/4" wood frame, which has a COA on the back, displays the signed photo and recessed Maple Leafs and Black Hawks pucks along with a plaque in a black and white double matte with white accents.
