Habs icon Maurice "Rocket" Richard placed a huge black marker autograph directly across the front of this white Canadiens jersey below the team's fabled CH crest. Richard has signed in bold black marker with his number 9 circled as well as the "HOF - 1961" notation. A PSA/DNA sticker applied to the bottom of the CH crest has a registry number that matches the one on the included PSA/DNA certificate of authenticity. A fantastic display piece commemorating that man the NHL honors with its annual goal scoring leader trophy. The Rocket was the first player in NHL history to score 50 goals in a season and he did it in 1944-45 when the Original Six teams only played 50-game seasons! Richard, who died on May 27, 2000, was also the charter member of the 500-goal club and he won eight Stanley Cups with Montreal, including the last four as the captain of the Canadiens’ dynasty that won five championships in a row from 1956-60. This white Canadiens jersey has a CCM size XXL flag tag in the neck with CCM/NHL tag attached to it by a plastic tie. The shadow image of the autograph appears inside the jersey in the form of various black marker dots from where the original signature that the Rocket applied bled through to the back of the jersey.
